Solmadis LED bulbs are:

Safe:

Contain no poisonous materials or products such as mercury or other substance. Heat up slightly but do not burn fingers. Produce no infrared or ultraviolet radiation.

Harmless:

LED bulbs are safe unlike compact fluorescent bulbs which, if broken, require on-site decontamination by aerating the area for at least 15 minutes in order to allow the gas to clear and lose its deadly noxiousness. Also, the broken pieces must be discarded and handled carefully with the appropriate tools. See Characteristics Comparison Table.

Economical:

An excellent performance with very low electricity consumption. See Cost Comparison Table. Electricity consumption is reduced by 60% to 90% when an incandescent, halogen or compact fluorescent bulb is replaced with an LED bulb.

Green:

Recyclable, with low electricity consumption. When lit 10 hours a day for 13.7 years, a LED bulb generates 187 kilograms of CO2 which is 84% less than an incandescent bulb.

Long-lasting:

A much longer lifespan. Incandescent lamps: ± 1,000 hours; halogen lamps: ± 2,000 hours; fluorescent lamps: ± 6,000 hours; LED lamps: ± 50,000 hours, or nearly 13 years! See Characteristics Comparison Table.

Disposable:

If a LED bulb accidentally breaks, it can go straight to recycling.

Practical:

Ideal for hard-to-reach places as bulbs do not need to be replaced before 50,000 hours of use. Low labour and maintenance costs.

Resilient:

Shockproof and impervious to repeated on-off switching and low temperatures. Provide same luminous intensity at subzero temperatures.

Adaptable:

Work optimally at an indoor ambient temperature of -40°C to +40°C or an outdoor ambient temperature of -45°C to +75°C.

Attractive:

A wide variety of colours thanks to outstanding colour rendering index (CRI) and remarkable adherence to hues. Homogeneous lighting. Various lighting angles depending on the model.

Creative:

Impressive mounting possibilities.

Quick:

Reach maximum light intensity immediately, unlike compact fluorescent bulbs.

Clean:

Do not darken, and do not damage ceilings or lampshades.

Reliable:

No problems with frequent or abusive on-off switching. Incandescent, halogen or compact fluorescent bulbs equipped with filaments can burn out unlike LED bulbs which have a light beam.

Easy to install:

Use a standard base and may be screwed into traditional sockets. Easy to install on most circuits.
